Anne Morrissey is Chief Operating Officer of the AmeriHealth Mercy Family of Companies. In this role, she is responsible for the health plans in Pennsylvania, Kentucky, South Carolina, Indiana, and Florida. She also oversees the Corporate Chief Medical Officer and is responsible for PerforMED, AmeriHealth Mercy’s care management product. Ms. Morrissey also serves as President of Pennsylvania Managed Care. In this role, she is responsible for strategic planning, oversight and operational management of all Pennsylvania Medicaid business which includes AmeriHealth Mercy Health Plan in Harrisburg, CBHNP, AmeriHealth Mercy’s recently acquired behavioral health company in Harrisburg, and Keystone Mercy Health Plan in Philadelphia. Ms. Morrissey is charged with the oversight and management of all operational activities, including hospital, physician and ancillary contracting; regulatory and legislative affairs; marketing, community relations and public affairs; and patient care, utilization and disease state management.
Before her current role, Ms. Morrissey was the Vice President of Operations for CNA Life Insurance Company based in Nashville, Tennessee. In this role she was responsible for providing leadership oversight for all New Business Life and Long-Term Care Policy processes in multiple locations. She led process improvement initiatives, and implemented productivity and quality programs. Prior to that, Ms. Morrissey was the Vice President of Operations Planning and Cost Containment for a CNA subsidiary based in Rockville, Maryland, where she was responsible for the administration of a Federal Employees Health Benefit Plan.
Ms. Morrissey is a professional registered nurse, and she received her degree from the Washington Hospital Center School of Nursing in affiliation with American University in Washington, DC. |
