Leslie S. Zavodnick is Vice President for Corporate Initiatives for the AmeriHealth Mercy Family of Companies. She is responsible for a variety of functions within the Office of the President, including Partnership Board relations, communications from the President and Chief Executive Officer, and company-wide initiatives related to strategic planning, executive management, communications, and human resources.
Ms. Zavodnick has over 20 years of experience in health care management. Previously, she was Director of Research and Communication at Best Health Care, Inc. in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a consulting company specializing in Medicaid managed care, where she was responsible for a broad range of corporate communications, including company marketing documents, state applications, proposals, presentations, newsletters for members and physicians in a Medicaid managed care program, a web site, press releases, and business planning documents. Prior to that, she was Director of Planning at Mercy Health Plan, the predecessor of AmeriHealth Mercy, where she provided planning support for expansion and new business development activities for Medicaid managed care.
Ms. Zavodnick also previously worked in health care management consulting and hospital administration. She has a background as a professional nurse (RN), with experience in clinical and management nursing positions. Ms. Zavodnick holds a Bachelor of Science from Saint Joseph's University and a Master of Business Administration from Temple University.
