Managed Health Care Congress Executives to Speak at Congress
on Medicaid and Forum on Eliminating Racial Disparities
April 21, 2004 - Philadelphia (PA) - AmeriHealth Mercy and its pharmacy care management product, PerformRx,
will be a sponsor and a participant at the Annual Congress on
Medicaid and Medicare and the Forum on Eliminating Racial and
Ethnic Disparities in Health Care at the National Managed Health
Care Congress (NMHCC), May 5-7, 2004, at the Washington D.C.
Convention Center.
Daniel J. Hilferty, President and CEO of AmeriHealth Mercy,
will co-chair the Medicaid track, which will quantify the success
of mandatory Medicaid initiatives, performance measurements
and proposed restructuring models. The forum will explore the
impact of SCHIP programs on improving care for children, challenges
in serving clients with dual eligibility for Medicaid and Medicare,
pharmacy benefits and disease management initiatives.
Mr. Hilferty will also moderate the opening keynote address
"Dual Population Coverage Challenges," Wednesday,
May 5th at 1:45 p.m.

Officer of Virginia Premier Health Plan, will present on "Managing
Pharmacy Benefits," Thursday, May 6th at 3:15 p.m. Lucy
Ricketts, Manager of Cultural and Linguistic Services for Passport
Health Plan, an affiliate of AmeriHealth Mercy, will present
"Managed Care Cultural Competency Strategies that Work"
on Wednesday, May 5th at 9:00 a.m.
