AmeriHealth Mercy to Present on Medicaid Reform at Florida Association of Health Plans' Managed Care Conference

September 29, 2005 - Philadelphia (PA) - Michael A. Rashid, Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, AmeriHealth Mercy, will participate in the Medicaid Reform Educational Session, on Thursday, October 6th at 9:00 a.m., at the 2005 Florida Association of Health Plans (FAHP) Annual Conference in Orlando, FL, being held at The Ritz-Carlton, Orlando Grande Lakes.

Presenting the Medicare Reform Educational Session is Secretary Alan Levine, from the Agency of Health Care Administration. The session will highlight changes to Florida's Medicaid system under the proposed reform plan. Topics to be discussed include the new health risk adjustment systems proposed in the new Medicaid reform plan, assessing the impact on health care systems, and evaluating the implementation plans. Following his presentation, Rashid, Representative Holly Benson, and Senator Durell Peaden, Jr. will join him for a panel discussion and audience question and answer session.
